Dead Rails (Roblox): Train Survival Across the Zombie Desert

Dead Rails by RCM Games drops you into 1899 America under a zombie plague. Up to sixteen players fuel and defend a steam train across a haunted desert toward a cure waiting in Mexico.

What is Dead Rails?

The train is base, weapon, and escape route. You scavenge towns, burn loot for fuel, trade at outposts, and survive day/night cycles that change which monsters spawn. Classes such as Cowboy, Doctor, Miner, Vampire, Necromancer, and Werewolf change how you contribute to the crew.

Modes like Nightmare, Scorched Earth, Invasion, and Endless remix pressure and objectives, so experienced crews can chase harder rewards after learning the main route.

How to play

• Keep the boiler fed—dead trains strand the whole party.
• Loot opening towns early, then sell valuables at outposts for weapons and upgrades.
• Watch the moon: normal nights spawn zombies; full moons favor werewolves; blood moons bring vampires.
• Coordinate classes so someone covers healing, mining/fuel, and frontline guns.
• Push toward the final bridge objective around the long 80 km route.

Dead Rails rewards crews that call threats early and share ammo. Solo heroes burn resources; quiet logistics win runs.

Beginner tips

• Prioritize fuel and ammo before flashy weapons on your first clears.
• Learn one class well instead of rotating every wipe.
• Treat night cycles as deadlines—finish looting before the moon flips the threat table.
• Use outposts as checkpoints to reset inventory and buy what the next stretch needs.
• Try standard mode first, then sample Nightmare or Invasion once the route feels familiar.

Your first successful stretch to an early outpost teaches more than three rushed wipes. Once the crew can keep the train moving under pressure, then chase bosses and harder modes.

Dead Rails is a tense co-op train survival fantasy for players who like scavenging, class roles, and long-route teamwork. Board up, feed the boiler, and keep Mexico on the horizon.
