Catch and Tame Beginner Guide: Pens, Lassos & Early Biomes
What is Catch and Tame?
Catch and Tame is a Roblox animal-catching simulator. You lasso creatures, fill pens, earn Bucks (including offline income), upgrade gear, and unlock new biomes. Early success comes from keeping pens full and upgrading the lasso — not from chasing the rarest animal on day one.
First-day priorities
- Catch easy common animals nearby until all pen slots are filled.
- Upgrade your lasso before spending heavily on cosmetics — catch rate and range matter.
- Feed animals to raise income. Full, fed pens generate Bucks while you are offline.
- Redeem official codes early for free currency or items if any are active.
- Expand pen space once income feels stable, then push into the next biome.
Biome unlock order
Progress biomes roughly in this order so difficulty and recipes stay manageable:
- Jungle
- Savanna
- Desert
- Swamp
- Snow
- Ocean
- Prehistoric Zone
Jungle and Swamp are useful early for combo/breeding recipes (for example routes involving Alligator and Capybara Giraffe-style crafts once you unlock breeding).
Beginner mistakes
- Leaving empty pens — empty slots earn nothing offline.
- Chasing ultra-rares with a weak lasso instead of filling commons first.
- Random low-tier breeding that eats food without a goal recipe.
- Skipping feeds; hungry animals underperform on income.
Steady growth loop
Catch → fill pens → feed → upgrade lasso/pens → unlock next biome → repeat. That loop beats lucky hunts. Once pens and income are solid, experiment with breeding recipes and rarer biome spawns.
