Anime Apocalypse Beginner Guide: Controls, Abilities & First Runs
What is Anime Apocalypse?
Anime Apocalypse is a Roblox action roguelike-style experience where you clear zombie-filled rooms, pick abilities, and fight a boss at the end of a run. Movement skill matters as much as your loadout — dash, slide, and wall movement keep you alive while cooldowns recycle.
Controls to learn first
- WASD — move
- Left click — basic attack
- Z / X / C / V — skills
- E — gadget
- G — ultimate
- Q — dash
- Ctrl — slide
Practice dash, double jump, and wall runs in a quiet lobby area before your first serious clear. Repositioning is how you survive dense rooms.
Your first Shibuya run
- Start from the lobby and choose Shibuya (or the recommended starter map).
- Clear every zombie wave in a room before moving on; the boss waits in the final room.
- Pick one reliable ability early and learn its full rotation instead of swapping every drop.
- Use crowd-control gadgets to group packs, then unload skills into the clump.
Upgrades and resources
- Finish daily quests for steady currency and spins.
- Redeem official codes when available for free spins and materials.
- Invest early rewards into ability upgrades and cooldown reduction.
- Do not break scarce evolution materials (such as Cursed Finger-type items) until you confirm what your chosen path needs.
Beginner tips
- Master movement before chasing rare abilities.
- Cooldown reduction often feels better than raw damage on early clears.
- Leave a room only after waves are fully cleared so you do not get surrounded mid-transition.
Once Shibuya feels comfortable, branch into harder maps with a practiced rotation and upgraded core ability.
