Anime Expeditions is a Roblox anime tower-defense game by Expeditions Entertainment where you summon units, clear Story waves, evolve carries, and later unlock Expedition Mode. This beginner guide focuses on the first hours: codes, Beginner’s Path, banners, a simple team shape, and what not to waste.

Getting started (first 30 minutes)

  1. Redeem every active code before you dump gems into banners. Codes often grant Gems, Trait Crystals, and rerolls.
  2. Open Events and start the Beginner’s Path. Early chapters teach core menus and award Beginner Summon Tickets plus other starter rewards.
  3. Spend Beginner Tickets on the Beginner’s Banner first—those tickets are meant for that pool, not the paid gem banners.
  4. Clear Story Mode on Normal stage by stage. Grab star objectives when you can; they add extra rewards.

Core loop

Pick a small roster, place economy units early so you can afford damage dealers, clear the wave, then feed food XP into the units you actually play. Progression roughly goes:

  • Normal Story → first evolutions (Sprites + unit trials/items)
  • Hard Story and Challenges for materials
  • Mastery stages for Sprite Grays, gems, and unit equipment
  • Raids and Expedition Hub (around player level 20+) for long-term account systems

Build a balanced early team

A workable starter shape is:

  • Two farm/economy units (popular early options include Stone Alchemist and Ramen Guy when you have them) so Yen keeps flowing.
  • One main carry with clear damage (Legendary or Mythic DPS).
  • One support/control (slow, freeze, or utility) so packs do not leak past your placements.

Focus food, evolution materials, and trait investment on that core—not every Mythic you pull.

Gems, banners, and trait rerolls

  • Do not empty every Gem on day one. Secret-tier pulls on the main banner are often gated behind player level (commonly around level 10)—saving some gems until then is smarter.
  • Read the live banner panel: cost, featured units, and pity. Mini banners are for a specific featured unit; they are not always better than the main banner.
  • Trait Rerolls are scarce. Prioritize farm units (Investor-style money traits are excellent) and your long-term carry. Avoid rerolling temporary fillers.
  • Keep duplicate Mythics for Ascension instead of selling them.

Evolution and Mastery

Evolutions usually need colored Sprites (or Sprite Grays crafted into colors), a unique item, and level requirements. Check each unit’s Evolve menu before farming. After you evolve a keeper, farm its Mastery stage for unit-specific equipment/relics—those passives often matter more than another random summon.

Common beginner mistakes

  • Spending all gems before Secret pity unlocks.
  • Ignoring Beginner’s Path tickets.
  • Spreading XP across 20 units instead of leveling a small team.
  • Burning event currency on rerolls before you can evolve your first carry.
  • Skipping the Expedition Hub after it unlocks—buildings like the Armory and passive farms matter a lot later.

Quick daily checklist

  • Claim codes/events → Challenges → Story or Hard clears → Mastery for the unit you are evolving → raid currency when ready → Expedition progress when unlocked.

Menus and event shops change with patches, so always confirm costs and drop rates in your live client before spending scarce resources.
