Creatures of Sonaria Beginner Guide
Creatures of Sonaria is a Roblox creature survival sandbox: grow from baby to adult, manage hunger and thirst, and survive other players. Your first hour should be boring — that is how growth sticks.
Pick a forgiving first creature
There is no single official “best” starter. For run one, prefer an omnivore (or a small herbivore) so food nodes are flexible. Community favorites for learning movement include all-terrain / flying omnivores such as Kaluaka or Sochuri — always confirm the current diet text in-game after balance patches.
| Diet | Beginner note |
|---|---|
| Omnivore | Most forgiving — eat plants or meat depending on what is closer |
| Herbivore | Food is common; you are frequent prey — learn two plant clusters |
| Carnivore | Food is contested — plan corpse + escape before you bite |
First survival loop
- Finish the opening tutorial once without rushing a fight.
- Locate HUD bars: health, stamina, hunger, thirst, growth.
- Sniff for the nearest food and water instead of wandering blindly.
- Top both need bars full before leaving cover.
- Walk a short loop: food → water → cover → return landmark. Repeat it twice with zero combat.
- Test one escape (climb, swim, or break line of sight) so you actually have a plan.
- Hide scent in mud when you want fewer player tracks on your route.
Protect growth
- Baby — tiny stats; decline every duel and stay near cover.
- Teen — expand the loop slowly; still leave fights early.
- Adult — full kit online; re-measure drain rates before long trips.
Time alive is the only growth currency. A quiet hour on a known route beats an exciting five-minute death that resets progress.
Common first-day deaths
- Crossing open ground with low food/water and no exit.
- Chasing red / higher-tier creatures for “fun.”
- Joining a pack without a regroup point — crowds are not strategy.
After each death, change one variable: shorter loop, higher departure threshold, or a second exit. Play officially: Creatures of Sonaria on Roblox.
