1. Read your starter Toon’s stats and ability.

3. Walk while exploring so stamina is ready for chases.
4. Call out the first Twisted and machine you find.
5. Choose machines with cover and two exits.

Core loop

• Elevator → floor → machines + loot → elevator, repeating deeper as the lobby allows.
• Skill Checks: focus the indicator. Misses can attract nearby Twisteds. Practice on safer early machines.
• Walk in safe rooms; sprint only to break line of sight, then hide. Circling open halls burns stamina for nothing.
• Do not crash a designated distractor’s loop—call directions and give them space.

Items, Tapes, and Research

• Heal with Bandages/Health Kits after you are safe, not mid-chase in the open.
• Use extraction or speed/stamina items when the route is collapsing.
• Tapes fuel the elevator shop for the current injury or gap.
• Research capsules map to Twisteds on the floor—grab safe ones, share locations, and avoid long open chases for tiny progress.

First account purchases

Open Toon and Trinket shops and pick one affordable goal tied to a problem you already felt (mobility, extraction, or Research). Popular early directions include mobility helpers or Research-focused Toons once you can afford their license—confirm live prices in your account. Save Ichor toward that named goal instead of random impulse buys.

Common beginner mistakes

• Sprinting everywhere during safe exploration.
• Starting dead-end machines with no escape route.
• Hiding Skill Check failures from the team.
• Running into someone else’s chase “to help.”
• Hoarding rare items until the wipe.
